John C. Rogers - Founder & President of Simprint

Irving, TX (December 6, 2010) —  “Striving for excellence was just a part of who John was,” says Chris McNabb, Vice President of Simprint. “Whether he was coaching a youth roller hockey team or insisting on quality in customer service, John was one of the best men I’ve ever known.”

John C. Rogers was born on August 13, 1948.  As one of three children in a military family, John grew up moving every few years until his family settled in Lubbock, Texas when he was a teenager. After high school graduation, he attended Texas Tech University hoping to earn a degree in drama.  Being one for travel and adventure, John changed his plans and joined the Air Force instead of pursuing his college degree.  While there, he discovered his talent for electronics.  That interest began a successful 30-plus year career in the electronics industry.
After gaining valuable hands-on training in the Air Force, John rejoined civilian ranks and began working for Storage Tek and then Siemens as a Printer Technician.

“John was a family man who was always quick with a smile,” recalls McNabb.
“His compassion and sensitivity for living life to its fullest extent possible have led us as a company to achievements we hadn’t thought possible.  His ideas and hard work have laid a foundation that Simprint will build upon into the future.”

John died early Monday morning, December 6, 2010 at Baylor Medical Center in Grapevine, Texas.   He is survived by his wife, Linda, their four grown children and two grandchildren.
