The purpose of the Stacker Module is to collect the cut sheet output of the cutter and stack the sheets neatly and continuously while providing large capacity and the ability to unload without stopping the printer. This function is carried out in response to printer activity, yet requires no printer signals to function. The general concept of the Stacker Module is to transport the cut sheets in a neat, overlapped stream into a vertical orientation, align the sheets against a stop, and continuously feed the sheets into the stack with the printed side facing toward the output end of the table. In this way, the stack develops in page order sequence and can be conveniently unloaded. The Stacker drive is activated in response to the START sensor (top) in front of the Cutter.
The basic Stacker Module system consists of three elements: an input tray, transition section, and the backstop/output tray.
Typically you'll find the 50077 stacker paired with either a Roll Systems C7 or C8 series cutters.
