Air Core Shaft Innovation by Simprint

(Irving, TX – January 29, 2012)
Air core shafts are used to carry the reel when unwinding or rewinding paper.
By infusing air into the core shaft it expands and the reel is locked onto the core shaft, so that the reel can be braked or rewound.  Simprint offers a range of air core shaft products and provides OEM quality products at a reduced cost.  This is achieved through innovation in 3 main categories:

Maximum grip at all contact points along the core
The air core shaft comes in 3”, 5” or 6” to enable your machines to rewind and unwind with ease and speed.  Independent fins with inserts or chucks operate to secure the paper roll with equalized pressure at every point.

Simprint’s air core shafts are built to exacting standards
We assist you with choosing the proper type of core shaft regarding stress, reel weight, speed and type of winding, and if needed we can design a new component to aid in your processes.  each design is analyzed to ensure that the shaft will carry the loads specified and meet the expected operating conditions of speed and tension.

Air Core Shafts can be rebuilt
Simprint can not only provide you with a new product made of Aluminum for a reduction in physical effort required in handling of reels, but they can also remanufacture used and worn out air core shaft’s with all new components.
In the future based on need, Simprint could also provide air core shafts made of different materials like steel, carbon composite, and stainless steel.
